This was tested on Ubuntu 14.10. This Ubuntu version has problem with Huawei 3G modem, they cannot be recognized by default. In this test, I use a Huawei E173 USB modem.

Nowadays, new laptops come with Windows 8 preinstalled, the problem is, there's no installation disk included. Of course, you can use recovery mode, but I like to install Windows with a fresh copy. This download tool, download for you newest version of Windows 8.1 and you can install in other PC as well when another PC is not booting at all. The license code is in your UEFI motherboard, so if you purchased your laptop with Windows already preinstalled, you don't need to know Windows product key. If you have an older motherboard then you have to know your key or have to buy it.
