Nowadays, new laptops come with Windows 8 preinstalled, the problem is, there's no installation disk included. Of course, you can use recovery mode, but I like to install Windows with a fresh copy. The license code is in your UEFI motherboard, so if you purchased your laptop with Windows already preinstalled, you don't need to know Windows product key.
