Disable OneDrive on Windows 8.1

OneDrive cloud service who before called SkyDrive, is connected with Windows 8 by default, and is made for your comfort to use your personal files. Example, if you want to use your files between computers or mobile devices, and easy share files, the OneDrive is way to go, and you will get free 5GB storage. However not everyone wants to use this service, keep reading to find out how to disable OneDrive on Windows 8.1....

Press Windows + R and type gpedit.msc next press enter.

Go to Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\OneDrive

Next look at image and Enable what shows on image bellow

After that when you save the settings, OneDrive has to be removed from filemanager. Better go and restart the PC!

And all done. The OneDrive now be removed from file manager. However OneDrive is nice free cloud file service, and sometimes is nice to have.

!In this setup I use Windows 8.1, in other Windows versions the steps may be different.
