Use Google Authenticator in new phone in 2020

When you buy a new phone or make a factory reset on your phone and install Google Authenticator you notice, that the Google Authenticator needs to register again. First its looks very difficult, but it is easy to do, just read more -->

If you use Google Authenticator you have I believe two-step verification enabled on your Google account. Now just open the web browser in computer, login into your account, type your password and use any other two-step verification options like SMS security code or any other method you liked to use.

Go to site https://myaccount.google.com/signinoptions/two-step-verification

Click on Change Phone, in the popup window choose what device you have, iPhone or Android and click next.
Then go to Google Authenticator app in your phone and press on scan QR code, then just scan the code from a computer screen.
If the Google Authenticator app can't scan QR code, then press in the computer Can't scan it (view in the picture below) and in phone click Enter a provided key.

Now you have to write long security code from the computer screen into Google Authenticator app and if all goes well, your Google Authenticator app will be working and registered again.

Note: Do not use public computers and don't share any of your personal information with others.
